Dark Light

USA 2002 (86′)- Dir.: Antony and Joe Russo. With William H. Macy, Isaiah Washington, Luiz | Official site | dvd

George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh produce, through their company Section Eight, films like Ocean’s Eleven, Insomnia, and the pompous Full Frontal. Welcome to Collinwood is another Soderbergh/Clooney production, and reminds vaguely of O Brother, Where are thou. It is the story of a bunch of loosers who think that they finally have found their ‘Bellini’, a nickname for a very lucrative crime. But not everything goes like it should have gone.

Collinwood is, well, okay enough for a rainy december evening, but will probably go straight to video/dvd in most countries…
