The Middle East is a great place to be. It has good food, a nice climate and beautiful women (especially the Israelian ladies). O yes,and the occasional friendly neighbourhood fights. But these are so surreal that one can hardly believe they are actually true.
Palistinian filmmaker Elia Suleiman uses the inflammable border as a setting for strange storylines: a Santa Claus who is chased up a hill, an ill man who doesn’t want to go to the hospital, a ninja version of a palestinian freedom fighter and a stunning beauty from Jerusalem who destroys a checkpoint just by her physique.

The film won the Fipresci Award and the Grand Jury Prize at Cannes 2002.
The film has a hip and loungy soundtrack.
