Dark Light

UK/USA 2002 (123′)- Dir.: Lee Tamahori. With Pierce Brosnan, Halle Berry, Toby Stephens, Rosamund Pike. | Official site

I saw Die Another Day for the second time, this time in Bond’s original habitat, London. And I liked it much less than the first time I saw it. Spending time in a exclusive circle of real Bond-adepts, I could say ‘Walther PPK’ before I could say ‘mama’. I have never really been seduced by Pierce Brosnan as the legendary secret agent. Until now that is. A kite surfing Brosnan looks like he’s been Bond since Dr. No. Don’t look at the storyline, it is just entertainment. But entertainment on adrenaline. I especially enjoyed the swordfighting scene, with Madonna as an SM Dungeon Sword teacher. Bond 20 has a lot of puns, and sarcastic jokes, but it looks like special effects have won from Bond’s personality, which is a shame.
