USA 2002 (78′)- Dir.: Gerry Winick. With Aaron Stanford, Sigourney Weaver, Bebe Neuwirth. | Official site |
Oscar is a fifteen year old charming guy who likes Voltaire better than young pussies. He falls in love with his stepmother (Sigourney Weaver) who has so much more experience than the pretty girls in his class at boarding school. But first he accidentally has sex with her best friend, and from there one everything is screwed.
Tadpole is a refreshing comedy, with no pretentions (although the constant citing of Voltaire’s oneliners are a little too pseudo-intellectual). The film is shot on DV, with some shots on HD, but that’s actually not an issue, since the acting and the story are too good to notice the digital image quality.
