Actor\/Director\/Producer Clooney is without a doubt one of the most interesting people in today&#8217;s international cinema.<br \/>\nThe only critical remark could be the presence of the (real?) testimonials, shot in a documentary style. They do not add anything to the story. But that&#8217;s just a tiny detail, Confessions&#8230; is a brillant debute!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"confessions.jpg\" id=\"image103\" class=\"right\" src=\"http:\/\/www.stefandevries.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/08\/confessions1.jpg\" \/>The story is based on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/gp\/redirect.html?link_code=ur2&#038;tag=stefandevri03-21&#038;camp=1634&#038;creative=6738&#038;location=%2Fgp%2Fproduct%2F0091890373%2F\">book<\/a> by Chuck Barris, tv-show host and CIA-agent. And probably a mythomaniac too, although that doesn&#8217;t become clear in this film. Very nice to see one of my heroes (Clooney is another one), Rutger Hauer (probably my biggest hero actually), in a good role. His part unfortunately only lasts a couple of minutes, but every frame in which Hauer is present sizzles and intrigues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"USA 2002 (113&#8242;)- Dir.: George Clooney.
